Faith

Faith in the unknown

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see!

Christianity is based on faith and without faith we can’t please God. (Hebrews11:6 ‘And without faith it is impossible to please God because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and He rewards those who earnestly seek him.)
Sometimes Gods purpose or will for our lives may seem ridiculously impossible. At times when God reveals his purpose for our lives to us, we may not get it in detail and may only get a glimpse of it. Therefore we will have to have faith that it will happen and keep our heart and mind open to opportunities that God may open up to make that come to pass. Sometimes we don’t need to know exactly what God is going to do to make our dreams happen or even all we need to do all at once to achieve them. Doing this has a tendency to make us rely more on ourselves and our abilities than on God. All we need to do is to work hard in the tasks and responsibilities that God has placed in front of us as if we were doing it onto the Lord (Colossians 3:23 ‘Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters’) and believe that what we hope for will come to pass and it will!
For some of you that are like me and may have been a bit reluctant in fully believing in a dream for fear of disappointment or for fear that it may not be part of Gods plan, don’t fret. The beauty of progressing in a relationship with Christ is that His plan for our lives begin to become the things that we desire and hope for. So whenever you are believing God for something, don’t worry about whether or not you will receive it. What I do is that I pray that if what I desire isn’t in God’s will for my life, He should frustrate it and if it is part of His plan then I will have peace about it and will have no reason to doubt.
